Nelson Giants 2024
For the 2024 NZNBL season I have been working with the NBS Nelson Giants as a Content Creator to produce high quality photo and video content to display on social channels. It has been a highlight of my career so far.
Below is a snippet of the content I produced over the season, which overall managed to win me the NZNBL Video Content Creator of the Year Award! This is a huge achievement for me, I suppose I can call myself an ‘award winning videographer’ now, no? Lol!
Training & Game Day Content
Game days and training days are the best days, I put together a variety of different content pieces to show the team working, prepping, and ultimately just playing basketball.
Extra Creative Content
I’ve had pretty much free rein to try lots of different creative ideas throughout the season, this has been one of my favourite things about working with this team!
The Team & The Community
The 2024 Giants team had a super tight-knit culture and some awesome friendships were formed over the season. I had the privilege to capture that through multiple Team Vlogs and all the in-between moments, which was so much fun to be a part of.
The team also brings that culture and friendship into the community, through initiatives with school aged kids - Girls Got Game and Giants Experience. This was a privilege for me to capture because even I remember Giants players coming into my school many years ago! One of our goals this season was to show that this team are more than just great basketball players, they’re also great people and we want to try bridge the gap between player and fan, I think we achieved that.
